Office 365 includes a number of online services with which many students and employees are already familiar with.
· Office Apps for iOS and Android
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote apps that link to your Office 365 account are now available for these devices. Download the apps from the App Store or Google Play.
· Office Online
Formerly known as “Office Web Apps,” this is a browser-based version of Microsoft Office that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Office Online can be a great alternative to installing the desktop version of Microsoft Office, or it can be used when you are away from your primary computer.
This cloud storage and file sharing application– previously called “SkyDrive” – will be accessible via Outlook Web App or the OneDrive desktop application. It allows users to upload files to the cloud, then either share with contacts or keep them private.
· OneNote Online
Also bundled with Office Online, with OneNote Online, you can use your web browser to create, open, view, edit, format, and share the OneNote notebooks that you store on OneDrive.
Bundled with Office Online, Office 365 Video enables uploading, storage and access.
· Instant messaging and Skype for Business
Instant messaging and Skype for Business allow you to connect with other Skype for Business via instant message, voice calls, and video calls, and let people know your availability with your online status. Share presence, IM, and audio calling with Skype users.
Yammer is a private social network that helps you get connected to the right people, share information across teams, and organize around projects. Only your coworkers can join, so your communications on Yammer are secure and visible only to people within your organization.
Sites allow you to work together on projects and help keep related documents, notes, tasks, and conversations organized together.
Delve helps you discover the information that’s likely to be most interesting to you right now – across Office 365. You don’t have to remember the title of a document or where it’s stored. Delve shows you documents no matter where they’re stored in OneDrive or in Sites in Office 365.
Sway is a presentation web app part of the Microsoft Office family of products. Sway allows users to combine text and media to create a presentable website. Users can pull content locally from the device in use, or from internet sources such as Bing, OneDrive, YouTube, and Facebook. A Sway can be viewed or displayed through the web browser.
Newsfeed lets you stay connected to your organization’s social pulse while on the go. You can easily navigate your feeds and interact with the conversations from SharePoint sites you are following.
